Windridge Park
ChildCare Centre
Hi, I'm Piera, I moved to Canada in 2008 from Florence, Italy, where I was born and raised. I live in North Vancouver with my husband Giacomo, our two daughters Giulia and Marta and our dog Lucky. I studied Languages (Russian and German) at the University in Florence and I taught English as a second language for a number of years. Here in Canada I got certified as an ESL teacher for Young Learners.
I first came to Windridge as a mom when our youngest daughter started preschool here. She loved it so much and we spent two and a half great years with Teacher Anne and crew.
I have also completed my EA certification and I am thrilled and honoured to be part of this wonderful community.
Hi Families, my name is Amanda.
I am an ECA with a Bachelors in Child Psychology. Currently I am completing my ECE certificate. I found Windridge Park ChildCare Centre while performing my observations and was very impressed with the teachers and overall environment. I believe that the first five years of development in a child’s life is very crucial and being part of their growth and overall success is exciting.
Being a mother of 2 young boys has taught me patience and given me the skills and problem-solving abilities to help build confidence.
I am looking forward to sharing the lessons I have learned from the ECE program and from my own experiences.
I live in North Vancouver with my husband Dustin, our two sons Daniel and Adam, and our dog Roxy! We are very lucky to call Deep Cove home. Our family enjoys a very active lifestyle and are frequently outdoors hiking, mountain biking, and snowboarding in the winter.
I believe that being outdoors helps children learn the importance of taking care of our environment and provides them with a better connection to their community.

Hello!
My name is Hailey. I am a certified Early Childhood Educator and have been happily working with children for the past 10 years.
I grew up in Deep Cove and graduated from Seycove Secondary School in 2010. I knew I wanted to work with children so I went on to complete my ECE at VCC. I started working at a daycare in 2014 as an Early Childhood Educator Assistant and became a certified ECE teacher in 2019.
Working as an Early Childhood Educator has brought me so much joy. Watching children explore and using their imaginations is wonderful, and being a part of their development and growth is such an honor.
I am so excited to be working here at Windridge Park Childcare Centre, and look forward to making new memories.
When I’m not at work, you can find me enjoying our wonderful community, hiking our mountain trails, sitting by the water, drawing, singing, exploring, and being with my family and friends.
Hi, I’m Amy!
I recently completed my Early Childhood Education certification at Capilano University. I did two of my practicums at Windridge Park Preschool, where I was fortunate enough to be hired as a substitute. I am now excited to be joining the team and the children as a full-time educator!
I’ve worked with children for over 10 years. I started babysitting as a teenager and realized early on that working with children is something I truly feel passionate about. For the past 7 years, I’ve worked as a nanny, working closely with a few different families and sometimes even traveling with them. These experiences have shown me the importance of building a connection with each child. I see children as unique individuals who deserve to be supported, challenged, and celebrated.
I grew up in North Vancouver and attended Dorothy Lynas Elementary and Seycove Secondary. In my free time, I love hiking, kayaking, snowshoeing, traveling, and spending time with my family and friends. I also enjoy singing and playing music. I love sharing stories and songs with children.
I’m passionate about creating a warm, caring environment where all children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to be themselves. I’m so happy to be part of this community and it means a lot to me to be part of this chapter in your child’s life.
I was born and raised in Japan. I came to Canada in 1998 knowing nothing about this beautiful multicultural country and absolutely loved it.
My 3 teenagers don't really need me that much anymore and my game-geek husband takes good care of our 2 little dogs, so I am pretty much all yours :). My passion is to figure out what is really going through little ones' minds and approach & solve any problems or issues that arise in a positive way as much as possible.
Nobody wants to be around grumpy and bossy adults, right? That goes for children as well is my belief. My hobby is thrift shopping, playing the piano, and listening to a variety of music from rock to classical while I try to keep up with the teenagers' latest trends. My Bachelor's degree in Education and 3 teacher licenses ( high school, middle school, and elementary ) helped me get where I am today, and the knowledge gained through those experiences greatly shaped me as a mother especially when my children were small. Now that my job as an active parent is nearing the end, I would like to find some new little ones to look after! It truly makes my day when your daughter/son looks at me and smiles... Taking care of them does make me feel like Grandma Keiko.
A Li Ga To ( thanks ) in advance. :)
I have had the privilege of being involved with Windridge since 1996, starting as a special needs aide, then as a parent with my 2 daughters here, then as a teacher/administrator/happy owner and now retiree! I may show up for the occasional "cameo appearance" as a substitute teacher :) I love working with all our families in our great community! It is such an honour to teach your children and watch them grow into confident and well-rounded individuals: cognitively, physically, emotionally and socially.
I was born in Cooma, Australia and grew up in North Vancouver from the age of 2. I started my career to be a CGA at CapU, and then worked in a bank and a computer company for many years. But after having my first child, I realized where my true passion was and completed my Early Childhood Education certificate in 1998. I have enjoyed raising my family here on the North Shore with my husband, Peter. We enjoy hiking with our dog, Bruiser, on all the great local trails. I also enjoy swimming, reading and nice dinners with our friends and family. I truly feel blessed to be here and being a part of the village that it takes to raise a child!
