Our staff
My name is Piera, I was born and raised in Florence, Italy, where I studied Foreign Languages and Literatures at the University. Speaking multiple languages led me to work in the field of commerce, and later, during a year- long stay in Boston, I became certified to teach English, beginning my career in Education.
I moved to Canada with my family in 2008 and spent several wonderful years at home raising our two daughters. I first discovered Windridge Park in 2013, when our youngest daughter started attending the preschool here. A few years later, in 2017, I joined the Windridge team, and I have been part of this special community ever since.
When I’m not at work, you can find me running in the trails with our dog , playing tennis, watching a soccer game or cooking an Italian meal for my family and friends. I love travelling the World and leaning about different cultures and countries.
A presto!

Teacher Amanda - ECE
Hello! My name is Amanda Ohearn, and I am so excited to be part of the Windridge Park Child Care! I am a Registered Early Childhood Educator and hold a Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Child Psychology. I have been working in the field for three years, and I truly love working with children and having the opportunity to support them as they learn, grow, and develop.
I believe children learn best through play, curiosity, creativity, and hands-on experiences. One of my favourite parts of working with children is watching them gain confidence, discover new interests, build friendships, and develop new skills. My goal is to create a safe, welcoming, kind, and fun environment where every child feels supported, included, and excited to learn and grow.
A little about me outside of ECE—I love to hike, read, swim, and garden! When I'm not at school, you can usually find me out and about in our community. I might be at the soccer field cheering on my 7-year-old, snowboarding at Mt. Seymour with my family, or watching my 11-year-old play rugby at the Capilano Rugby Club.
I feel very lucky to work with such wonderful children and families, and I look forward to a fun and exciting year of learning, growing, and making great memories together!
Teacher Claudia- ECEA
Teacher Claudia is originally from Mexico.
She loves to work with children because the kiddos remind her of what is important, relevant and authentic. If children are sad, happy, frustrated, or need a time to smell the roses, they just do it. That is so inspiring to Teacher Claudia.
Claudia has extended experience in Child minding, Behavioral Interventions as well work as Spanish, Art, Jewellery and Contemporary dance tutor. She also volunteers in The Bridge Church in their nursery on Sundays service.
Claudia loves everything creative, she also loves to dance Cuban Salsa (rueda style), she swims. Claudia also illustrates and has done pottery. She paints in acrylics and mixed media, has been a member of the NSAG since 2011.
Claudia is looking forward to playing, cherishing, caring, comforting and teaching your children Spanish & creating projects.
Teacher Nafiseh- ECE
Hi Families, my name is Nafiseh.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology. After moving into the field of Early Childhood Education, I discovered how much I enjoy working with young children and being part of their everyday experiences. My love for children and the joy I find in spending time with them encouraged me to continue growing in this field.
I live in North Vancouver and feel very fortunate to call this beautiful area home. I love the nature and sense of community here, and in my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, going for walks, exploring new places, and being outdoors.
I am a caring, positive, and patient person, and I really enjoy getting to know each child and their personality. I also love bringing creativity and fun into our days together.
I am very happy to be part of the Windridge Park ChildCare Centre team and look forward to getting to know all of the wonderful children and families in our community.

Teacher Anne - ECE Teacher
I have had the privilege of being involved with Windridge since 1996, starting as a special needs aide, then as a parent with my 2 daughters here, then as a teacher/administrator/happy owner and now retiree! I may show up for the occasional "cameo appearance" as a substitute teacher :) I love working with all our families in our great community! It is such an honour to teach your children and watch them grow into confident and well-rounded individuals: cognitively, physically, emotionally and socially.
I was born in Cooma, Australia and grew up in North Vancouver from the age of 2. I started my career to be a CGA at CapU, and then worked in a bank and a computer company for many years. But after having my first child, I realized where my true passion was and completed my Early Childhood Education certificate in 1998. I have enjoyed raising my family here on the North Shore with my husband, Peter. We enjoy hiking with our dog, Bruiser, on all the great local trails. I also enjoy swimming, reading and nice dinners with our friends and family. I truly feel blessed to be here and being a part of the village that it takes to raise a child!
